This trip was meaningful on myriad levels. We originally booked Sandals Royal Plantation in the Fall of 2019. It was meant to be Spencer's birthday trip in April of 2020. We changed the booking approximately four times. It was our first big international trip since all of the pandemic craziness. There were many hoops to jump through (Covid tests in both locations, CDC and government paperwork, delayed flights, the messy mess that is Phoenix Sky Harbor) but we some how made it to the beautiful island nation of Jamaica. It was worth the wait.

We got married on a beach, we always love our time near the water. This particular Sandals offers all of the water activities you can imagine. We kayaked, snorkeled, and drank in the views from numerous locations along the beach.
Foods and Boozes
We are both gourmands, and the all-inclusive resort is a perfect time to indulge. We ate so much seafood and we sipped the best hand-muddled mojitos on the planet. I loved being able to try local cuisine as well. Spencer was a big fan of the Jerk Chicken, and we adventurously tried Goat Curry and Oxtail. Our favorite meal was at a lovely French restaurant.
Michael Scott
We absolutely adore The Office. One of our goals on this trip was to recreate that famous shot from Season 3, Episode 12.
If you know, you know.
True Romance
I like to say that my husband makes every day Valentine's Day. This whole resort is geared towards couples and romance. So, it is exactly our kind of place. We had massages by the sea, dinner for two on a private beach, and our butler service decorated our room and even prepared a nightly bath. It was glorious.
Now that I am home, I like to imagine that they are still talking about our much-practiced (thanks quarantine) karaoke rendition of Regulate at the Wobbly Peacock.
Surely they are not, but a gal can dream.
Are you traveling again???
I always adore a good love story. Especially when it includes food!
