We are feeling ten kinds of lucky that Jacksonville is so close to our new home. We have already taken two quick trips there, and we can't wait to go back.
Topgolf
Whenever we travel, we are always on the lookout for a Topgolf. It is simply one of the best date venues out there. Golf? Snacks? Dranks? Yes, please. I only wish I could go there weekly. Let it be known that I was fresh from first professional golf lesson, I won one game, and I am the poorest of winners.
St. Johns Town Center
This is a fairly new outdoor shopping center. There are many, many, many fine stores and eateries here. I kicked around here for a full day while The Doc was taking his boards. I had an excellent solo lunch at Cantina Laredo.
We celebrated the monumental weekend at The Capital Grille (one of our favorite restaurants, although this particular location wasn't as good as others we have been to).
The only bummer? There is no 'nice' hotel near by.
Sun-Ray Cinema
We love, love, love to go to the movies. At our last apartment, we could walk across the street to a Cinebistro. We got a little spoiled, and it is sort of hard to impress me in the movie theater department. Sun-Ray is a true gem. The theater is small and definitely has that retro feel. The menu was crazy (and affordable!) and the staff was super friendly. We will definitely catch another flick at this place.
TIAA Bank Field
I love this stadium! Had it not been the temperature of the sun on game day (I am still losing precious skin weeks later) it would have been perfect. Check out my review here.
