Boxes Galore

I am a huge fan of subscription boxes. It is like a little gift to yourself every month, or a way to help with meal planning. Here are a few of my favorites.

After you take a quick quiz, Birchbox sends you 4-5 beauty samples every month. The products are high quality and some are new to me. I love that I can use many of the items for travel. This one is only $10 per month. I also dig the fun messages on the address labels; unique descriptors are included next to my name (i.e. the box will be addressed to The Effervescent Nicole or The Smart Nicole) and these always make me smile.

The World's Best Husband is a spoiler. For my birthday last year, he gifted me with a perfume subscription. Monthly samples are usually theme-based (florals, fruity) and each box includes a fun piece of jewelry.

I don't wear many jewels, so I unloaded these goodies on my nieces so they can elevate their dress-up game. I have found some new favorites through this subscription, and it is wonderful to have olfactory excitement once a month.

When Spencer was still in residency, we started using Blue Apron. I really liked the food and I think it actually taught me how to cook and introduced me to many exotic ingredients and recipes. I had some bad luck with missing and damaged ingredients, so we stopped using it. After we got settled in to our new town, we decided to give Hello Fresh a try. The recipes are so much easier than BA. The food is not exotic, but it sure is tasty. I love that I don't have to meal plan during Spencer's on-weeks, and most recipes are quick to create, which is essential after a 12-hour shift. I also love that they have Hall-Of-Fame and repeat-recipes. I am beyond happy with this subscription. I have free meals, send me your email if you would like to try Hello Fresh.

Bulgogi. I think we order this one the most!

This one is obviously my favorite. They have the newest books and always a good variety to choose from. A little click and bam, days later you are opening the greatest gift of all in your own home. A few years ago, they would add a little goodie to your box, but not any more. I miss that, but the reads are still fantastic. I also love that each book is embossed with the BOTM logo and the month and year. If you use the link above and sign up, I get some book credit. I would maybe like you a little bit more if you do.

What is your favorite subscription for yourself? Do you ever send a subscription as a gift?
